3 Things.

It has been a while since I've blogged. I know, I know, all of my two followers almost didn't survive ;). I'm not really sure why I'm blogging to begin with, I'm not interesting on paper, let alone much of a writer. But I felt that I'd share a couple of exciting things happening in my life. Let's start with tomorrow. Tomorrow I am going to to be apart of this conference that's being held in Charlotte called, " The Greek Conference 2011". I'm not sure what this will hold in store for me, but I'm praying that God will use me in a mighty way to bring glory back to Him. It lasts till Sunday, so It shall be a very cool experiance for me! Another huge thing is next friday I turn 18. It's crazy just to think that, I don't know why. I'm sure nothing will change mentally for me, but just the ideal 18 year old standards that come along with it. It's exciting and scary at the same time. Phew and the last big thing is, The Audition at Liberty University. Yep, I'm going to audition there hopefully in the next month. I'm still praying to see if this is where God wants me to be. Faith

These past couple of weeks I have been dealing with Trust. I consider taking things into my own hands if action doesn't occur with things I want to pursue, big or small. I have been dealing with tough friendships and hard decision making scenarios lately. This past weekend really stood out to me as I attended a regular service at Journey Church, January 16th 2011. My Pastor spoke about what the " Vision" was for my life. We read in the book of Romans and what captivated my attention was this verse , "

Romans 8:28-
" And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who
love him, who have been called according to his purpose."

To me this is screaming, " Just Trust Me!". If I want to live according to His purpose then I need to totally put my Faith and trust in Him. He will make all things work out in His timing and in His own ways. He knows my friends hearts and what they are going through and He knows that this life is full of hardships. God calls us to live for Him for we were made BY God and FOR God. It's not gonna be easy, in fact, being a christian is probably going to be the toughest, but it is what makes us stronger in Christ Jesus. It says in Matthew 10:39, " Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.". That is what it means to me to have an Undying Faith.

The Bible

The Bible. well, It's pretty much the coolest book ever. haha. So I attended my Youth group at Journey church last night, which was awesome, I learned alot. But the sermon was based on the Bible and what came with reading it. Our pastor challenged the ones who would partake to read the bible from cover to cover over the span of 3 months. I feel like I need to partake, though It may be challenging for me. I have read the bible in various areas but never straight through. I am excited to try this out. I think I will learn a whole bunch and really search God out more. I think I will start either in December or January. I will be using this great program to help me get started which is called the, " B90x". And I know what your thinking, " Is that the exercise machine that makes you get into shape? " haha. It is not the exercise machine but a good schedule that can help you keep track of how much scripture to read in 90 days. A great tool! But I just wanted to share my thoughts with you guys about that! Have a blessed day!

Family

So if the title itself isn't cheesey then bring on the nachos cause this is gonna be cheeseeeyyy. lol So My dad's parents are in town this week and I rarely get to see them. The last time I saw them was like...I can't even remember lol. I got a chance to see them tonight and I will see them Sunday afternoon and spend time with them, I'm so looking forward to this. I absolutely loove them:) We usually order some dominios pizza and play chicken foot when they come to visit:) Its the little things in life. haha But having them visit is such an awesome thing, and how blessed am I to have the most amazing family? like If I step back and look at it, I really really love them. It's kind of a shame that I take them for granted and have to have relatives that I hardly ever see to make me realize. But I wouldn't trade anything in the world for them. Anyways, I could go on and on, but you get the point. Anyho, Have a blessed night:)

Glorious Conference

So These past two days, ( Monday and Tuesday) I've been at this Conference called, " Glorious Seminar for Worship Conference 2010" that was held in Durham, NC. And let me tell you, it was awesome. I've been to conference's before but I've never been to one that was based truely on Worship Leading. It was such an amazing opportunity for me, God opened my mind to some things. Things that I would have never taken into consideration are now some of the things I will now look for and I've learned new concepts. I also built stronger relationships between my worship team which was a blessing. What stood out to me the most was probably the Song- Writing class. I have always wanted to write worship songs but never had the courage to really try or start writing a worship song and I think that the class made a real impact on that. Overall not only did I learn lots of cool things and hear amazing worship/speakers such as Brian Doerksen, Katyrn Scott, and Paul Bloshe.;) but I grew a lot closer to our creator! The Church

I've been realizing change in my life over these past few weeks.

I've been thinking alot about , " The Church" in general. And what a church consists of in today's society. I've been realizing that our time as christian's needs to become more relevant out in the world. I know it sounds cheesey and very clich`e but God has been making me more aware each day. This verse really stood out to me today, " ⁸I want men everywhere to lift up holy hands in prayer, without anger or disputing." - 1 Timothy 2:8 (NIV). I love what it says in this passage to me that God wants every man everywhere to lift praises/prayers up to Him with no hesitation or complication. This world is getting more sinful and is drawing away from God each day and I think that people's definition of church has been bashed by people who don't fully understand God. I would love to end on a positive note but I just wanted to share this to whoever would listen. It's short and well, not so sweet but hopefully you've come and is left with something. God bless.

Dangerous Melodies

What if the world spun to the same rythm each day.

What if we all were singing the same song.

Would that make life easier for us to get along?

But the thing is, it's not that easy.

Everyday someone brings their annoying symbols and disrupting time signatures

Thus making noise. Not one peaceful note to collaberate from this image of, " song".

So the world keeps spinning in the madness of different beats and is blinded by the fact of the danger it's composing.

So it becomes natural and content with the way it spins.

The audience seem to take liking to it and will listen till their time expires.
